A safety training methodology

with a LIFETIME of difference

I provide in-person safety training and seminars throughout Ventura County and Southern California, covering personal and home safety, self-defense, weapons instruction, and certification/tools training for security personnel.

I took a self-defense class from Jay about 15 years ago, and his lessons have stayed with me when I need them most.

Jay’s training emphasizes being aware of your surroundings, noticing the people around you, and staying especially alert in parking lots. A couple of years ago, I was shopping at a market when I noticed three men talking among themselves and looking at me. Something didn’t feel right, so I decided to check out and leave.

My purse was in the child seat of my shopping cart. When I reached my car, Jay’s advice came back to me, and I immediately tucked my purse deep into the trunk. As I turned around, one of the men was reaching toward the spot where my purse had just been. I screamed and drew attention to myself. All three men ran away and got into their van.

I’m so grateful I remembered what Jay taught me. I can’t know how things might have ended otherwise, but his training helped me recognize a concerning situation and react. Even 15 years later, those practical lessons continue to make a difference. I highly recommend his self-defense training.
